Les messagers

The creators brought together for this concert do not hesitate to use new technologies to communicate their message, be it ecological, political, or fundamentally personal and poetic. Étienne Legast, David Martin, and their accomplices mix performance, diffusion, and projections in an ecology-minded work. As for Adam Basanta, he asks richly contemplative political questions through his sparse and sensitive acousmatic music. Lastly, Ben Shemie combines live musicians with video projections in a poetic introspection around the theme of memory. Veritable messengers of modern times, these innovative artists speak to audiences about what is at stake in today’s world. Who said contemporary art is without meaning?
